Terms & Conditions
1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the rental of bicycles from Rothaí Inis Meáin (“the Business”). By making a booking, payment, or using our equipment, you agree to be bound by these Terms. The person making the booking is deemed the “Hirer” and must be aged 18 years or over.
2. Booking, Payment & Holding Deposit

All bookings must be made by a person aged 18 or over.

Full payment is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed.

The Hirer is responsible for all members of their group included in the booking.

A fully refundable holding deposit of €50 per order will be taken on arrival.
3. Use of Equipment
All bicycles remain the property of Rothaí Inis Meáin at all times.
Bicycles must only be used on public roads and in a safe and responsible manner.
Use on beaches, in salt water, or in hazardous conditions is strictly prohibited.
The Hirer must not sub-hire or lend bicycles to third parties.
4. Safety & Responsibility
Cycling involves inherent risks. All users ride at their own risk.
The Hirer confirms that all riders are physically and mentally capable of cycling.
Helmets are provided and strongly recommended (mandatory for children).
Children must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
The Business does not supervise children at any time.
5. Condition of Equipment
All bicycles are checked prior to hire.
The Hirer must carry out a basic visual check before use.
Any issues must be reported immediately before departure.
6. Damage, Loss & Theft
The Hirer is responsible for all equipment during the rental period.
The Hirer agrees to pay for repair or replacement of any damage beyond normal wear and tear.
In the event of theft, the Hirer may be liable for the replacement cost.
7. Alcohol & Drugs
Bicycles must not be used under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The Business reserves the right to refuse rental in such circumstances.
8. Liability
Rothaí Inis Meáin does not accept liability for personal injury, loss, or damage except where required by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Return of Equipment

Bicycles must be returned on time and to the agreed location.

Late returns may incur additional charges.
10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland.
